Over the last few months, my family has been clearing out my grandparents home (as my poppy passed away a few years back and my nanny is now living in a seniors home). Sorting someone’s life’s ”collections” (not all of it good stuff as you can guess…like years of un-recyled newspapers LOL), is a daunting task….

The Joy of Discovery | Casual Moments Photography Blog - [...] Here’s a link to Julie’s blog post – she shares some of the photos and they are FASCINATING and so worth the read! Slide Film and Digital Files – why 40 years later, my mom has photos she never knew existed [...]
Dena Robles - What a treasure to find! I am so guilty of not printing my digital photos of my own kids, I really really really need to be better about this.
lauri - I could sit for hours & hours looking through old photos. So glad you found these – they’re priceless!
Season - This is fantastic! And hey pale pink is always in style :-)
Danna - AMEN! Best blog post ever! So happy you found these treasures and I hope all our children can someday do the same, that our priceless family memories don’t become a victim of technology.
Anna Mayer - Thank you for sharing this. Just so special to see after all those years, I bet. My dad was a videographer and my step-mom spent endless hours converting our Super8′s turned VHS into DVD’s. What a treasure they are for us now. Capturing your life, whether with your own camera, with a professional or ideally, both, is one of the most priceless treasures parents and grandparents can leave behind. Way better than material goods.
Beautiful.
