Tulip Study – Kitchener Waterloo Fine Art Photography

Hello, just a quick check in during a busy week. Too many projects on the go, not enough being organized, leading to a frazzled Julie (so what else is new!). So, I took a short break today to photograph these pretty tulips. I bought them a couple days ago and they were TIGHTLY closed. Today,…

Sophie - Who knew a tulip could be such a work of art. Absolutely gorgeous!!

Slide Film and Digital Files – why 40 years later, my mom has photos she never knew existed

Over the last few months, my family has been clearing out my grandparents home (as my poppy passed away a few years back and my nanny is now living in a seniors home). Sorting someone’s life’s ”collections” (not all of it good stuff as you can guess…like years of un-recyled newspapers LOL), is a daunting task….

The Joy of Discovery | Casual Moments Photography Blog - [...] Here’s a link to Julie’s blog post – she shares some of the photos and they are FASCINATING and so worth the read! Slide Film and Digital Files – why 40 years later, my mom has photos she never knew existed [...]

Dena Robles - What a treasure to find! I am so guilty of not printing my digital photos of my own kids, I really really really need to be better about this.

lauri - I could sit for hours & hours looking through old photos. So glad you found these – they’re priceless!

Season - This is fantastic! And hey pale pink is always in style :-)

Danna - AMEN! Best blog post ever! So happy you found these treasures and I hope all our children can someday do the same, that our priceless family memories don’t become a victim of technology.

Anna Mayer - Thank you for sharing this. Just so special to see after all those years, I bet. My dad was a videographer and my step-mom spent endless hours converting our Super8′s turned VHS into DVD’s. What a treasure they are for us now. Capturing your life, whether with your own camera, with a professional or ideally, both, is one of the most priceless treasures parents and grandparents can leave behind. Way better than material goods.

Beautiful.

My fave photos of the last 10 years, 6th edition – Kitchener Waterloo portrait photographer

Um….I think I got alittle bit off track here!! Yes, Tauro Photography is on hiatus for a while. NO, I am not done with my camera or anything dramatic like that. And yes, I kinda forgot to finish this series! Doh!! These images were SUPPOSED to cap off the year (I DID carefully plan out…

Food Love – Blog Carousel – Kitchener Waterloo Photographer

Blog carousel time, once again, and the topic is food love. Things being  busy around our home these days, I have been finding our meals are a little on the uninspiring side of things. Quickly thrown together, bits of this and that on a plate. Add a few too many pizza delivery nights. Bah! Must…

Chelsey - I love reading your thought process behind it all, Julie. I’m a big fan of radishes as well – nice to have that in common ;) and I’m so happy to see your B&Ws! I considered that – love what you’ve done here. That pomegranate looks so yummy. It’s like you can taste the juiciness right through the screen!

Kim Prochazka - Loving all the different organic shapes on these. The shadows are really beautiful on the pears and I love the pomegranate. I’m with you – don’t love the way they taste, but they do photograph beautifully!

Dena Robles - Julie you always do a tremendous job on the still life photographs, they are truly beautiful and well thought out.
