Julie – Hi.
We saw your blog and just wanted to take a moment and thank you for your kind words.
Nancy, myself, David Beckstead and David Robin have all worked very hard to give photographers something a little different to show and offer their clients.
We know this is not for everybody,…… but that is the point after all.
All the best to you :)

I had a fantastic time at my workshop in Detroit this week! The group was fantastic and I had the pleasure of meeting some fun, friendly and fabulous photographers. We had a ton of models to “play” with, and it was just an all round great time (and when I say “models” most of them...

Thanks for making our city look so cool:-)
Looks like you had a blast! LOVE the boys in the shorts/chuck taylors. What a very cool location, too. Oh and the night shots are totally cool!!
Julie it was great to shoot people in Detroit with you :) Love your images, your ‘eye’ and great sense of humour. Thanks for letting me hang with the Canucks in between shoots on party night. I scrolled down to see your slideshow of your kids — they are gorgeous like their mom, you would never know they weren’t keen to be photographed — super job!
Hope to see you next time,
Susan
the workshop was awesome and i just had to stop by and check out your blog. WOWWWWWWWWW…your images are FANTASTIC and you seriously have a fabulous eye. love, love, love all of the outdoor ones and the three boys…and the tutu girl…oh man…they are all great!!!
and that maybe I am accused of shooting someone in downtown Detroit…don’t worry too much. In fact if you hear that I shot alot of people, you will have to give me a chance to show you my side of the story. But don’t worry, I am allowed to do this, cause I will be...

lol…have fun :-)
You know how the story goes…the shoemaker’s/photographer’s children have no shoes/photographs (although I do bet the shoemaker’s children miss the shoes alot more than my kids miss having their portraits taken). So it finally came to be…after two years of blood, sweat and tears (okay mostly tears…and they were pretty much all mine) I have...

Hi Julie – your kids are adorable! Great session and love the cute little smiles! Dogs are great too :-)
The 10 reasons is soo funny! Awww your kids are adorable – I agree 1000% with everything you said about photographing your own kids. Hence, why I hardly photograph my own kids. BTW I adore the dog shots too!!! Your work is beautiful- it was so nice to meet you and thanks for being so great with my kiddos in A2. I had the best time this week- great inspiration from all so far, can’t wait to see your stuff too…
Cindy
You have three gorgeous kids, Julie! Even though they weren’t as cooperative as you would have liked, you would never know it! You have some amazing shots of them all! Congrats! :D

Okay, so I have become alittle obsessed with my new garden (hence the lack of posting lately – between the garden and knitting I have been getting in touch with my homestead roots). I was so excited this week when we actually harvested some yummy stuff to eat. My garden is so cool (if I...

Wow, these are gorgeous images!
I love those radishes, the colour is beautiful. Lovely Macro work!
Everything looks great Julie! Makes me wish I had more room in my yard for an “honest” garden :). I think the one plant you’re unsure of could be a castor-bean… careful if it is as their seeds are very poisonous.
Simply exquisite! You definitely should consider some commercial work, you definitely have the eye for those details.
These are gorgeous…they could be made into a book!
You put my (lack of) gardening skills to shame, Julie! What mouth-watering photos!!
WOW- amazing images of your budding flowers! Gorgeous!
Julie – these are all gorgoeus and mouth-watering! Now I’m hungry…
