Popcorn Wars – Kitchener Waterloo children and family photographer

 

Its the day after family day and I am still thinking about what a great weekend it was! We didn’t do anything crazy or out there or story-worthy. Just lots of hanging out with family (often in PJs), watching movies, playing games, having great conversations (okay, maybe also some arguing/fighting/cursing<—that was me…doh!), and one full day of visiting and eating (my in-laws started a tradition a few years back of having a meal completely consisting of Filipino food – and while we are working hard to recreate the wonderful cooking of my mother-in-law without her guidance, it brings lots of memories, laughter, communal food chopping and great visiting to the focus for the day – great fun!).

I think everyday is family day, but its such a nice thing to have one day off that is officially dedicated to the idea (OR just to have a day off in the middle of February – never a bad thing!).

Since moving my studio back home (and encroaching on my family’s space with all my junk), I have still mostly been doing on location photography. But the studio IS back in action, and while it is smaller, there are definitely some benefits…like being able to pop a TON of popcorn and make a HUGE mess while playing LOUD music – so much fun for me…I am pretty sure the kids enjoy it too though (I “suppose” that is what counts right? haha!)

 

(p.s. I also just had popcorn for lunch – no joking but it was just a total coincidence LOL!)
